- Title / Position: Graduate Student
- Organization: University of California, Irvine
I'm a graduate student in history at the University of California, Irvine. I also work as a teaching assistant so I'm interested in technology in the classroom. I've taught in history and a freshman humanities writing program. Next year I'll be teaching in women's studies. Although I've used technology some in my research and teaching I'd like to learn more and take advantage of other, potentially more creative, opportunities. In my own work I've used some digital archives and helped create an online place names map as part of a professor's project. I haven't really done anything on the coding/developing side, just the research side. In my classroom I use the projectors and some internet sources but feel there are better ways that I might incorporate technology in the classroom. I also offered one online class session through ilinc so I'm interested in online teaching but am still very new to the idea.
