Here's my professional bio: Marissa López is Assistant Professor of English and Chicana/o Studies at UCLA. Her research and teaching interests include: Chicana/o Literature; 19th century literature, especially the literature of the west and California; narratology; novel theory; globalization and transnational studies; and Disability studies. Her work has appeared in American Literary History, MELUS and other leading journals in her field. Professor López sits on the editorial board of Aztlán: The Journal of Chicano Studies. She is Associate Director of the Chicano Studies Research Center at UCLA, and a member of the MLA’s Division Executive Committee on Chicana/o Literature.
I also have two kids, run every day, and play the guitar really, really badly.
