I am a graduate student at CSU-San Marocs. I am working on women's physical culture in the 1930s particularly through one figure, Madame Sylvia of Hollywood. My research seeks to examine ideas about the body, fitness, and beauty in the 1930s through Madame Sylvia of Hollywood who wrote for several fan magazines in the period as well as wrote several books. I love all aspects of digital history and have several projects either completed or in the works. Most of it can be seen at: www.csusmhistory.org/regan008 I am hoping to be able to put together an online archive of materials about Madame Sylvia in the near future.
