Sue Tyson
- Title / Position: Librarian; grad student
- Organization: Univ. of So. Cal.; UCLA
I have advanced degrees in Humanities fields (Ph.D. in German Studies and M.A. in English), and have long been committed to inter- and multidisciplinary approaches to my studies of culture and history. As a librarian and archivist-in-training, I am especially interested in working to bring primary source materials to the forefront of people's attention through digital and physical exhibits, especially those that allow for user participation and interaction. I went to the Digital Humanities conference at Stanford last year, and was very excited to see some of the work that people were doing with cultural heritage and historical digital collections, but I have not yet seen much work done on the types of virtual research environments I would like to create.
